How We Test Betting Sites in Nigeria

Every score on FlyingWager comes from a real Nigerian account, real naira, and a stopwatch. Here's exactly what we do — and why it means you can trust every number you see.

Our standards

Our Independence

FlyingWager earns commission when you sign up via our links. This never influences our scores. Rankings are never for sale. No bookmaker pays for a higher position.

Independent

No commercial influence on scores

Nigerian

Tested in Lagos, on Nigerian networks, with Nigerian payment methods

Transparent

Full methodology published. Nothing hidden.

Methodology

Our 5-Check Testing Process

Every platform we review goes through these checks. Bonus real value and trust carry the most weight in our scores; withdrawal speed is part of trust, not a separate headline.

01

01Bonus Real Value

We claim the welcome bonus ourselves and calculate what the offer is actually worth in ₦ after wagering requirements. The headline number is marketing; ours is math.

02

02Trust & Proof of Payout

We create a real account, deposit ₦5,000 from our own wallet, verify the licence, place a qualifying bet, and withdraw our own winnings back to OPay. The stopwatch still matters: the exact payout time becomes evidence inside the trust score, not a separate headline.

03

03Odds & Local Markets

We check accumulator value, NPFL depth, Super Eagles coverage, and whether the bookmaker lists local markets international sites often miss.

04

04App & Data Usage

We test on a Tecno Spark over 4G, not just premium phones. We do not claim APK size or data-consumption measurements until the operator confirms the measurement process.

05

05Support & Limits

We check minimum deposits, cashout options, withdrawal rules, and whether support actually answers when a bettor needs help.

What We Don't Do

  • We do not accept payment for rankings or placements
  • We do not test on desktop or iPhone — only Nigerian Android phones
  • We do not rely on press releases or marketing materials from bookmakers
  • We do not score bonuses on headline amount alone — we calculate real ₦ value
  • We do not review or recommend any site without a valid NLRC or LSLGA licence

Evidence & transparency

Our Evidence

Update policy

How Often We Update

We re-test every site on our list every month. Withdrawal times change. Bonuses change. Licences expire. Every score on FlyingWager has a 'last tested' date so you always know how fresh the data is.
